Bullet Charm

1 - 45 Caliber Bullet Head 

A marble-size ball of Polymer Clay (color, your choice)

 1 - Pendant Bezel, Antique Copper (or silver, brass, or other...your choice). This one is approx. 1" in diameter and approx. 2mm deep..

Put a bit of liquid clay / bake and bond / polypaste, etc. in the bottom of the bezel.  Form the ball of clay (single color or mix of colors) and push it into the bezel to the desired shape (flat, rounded, etc.).  Just be sure the clay sits high enough in the bezel to envelope the bullet head.  This will depend on how thin the bullet head is (you decide when you cut it from the spent bullet.).

Push the bullet head into the center of the clay.  You will need to reshape the clay and push the clay up and around the bullet head to the height you want evenly around the bullet.

Smooth out finger prints and make sure the clay is not over the top of the bezel edge.

Cure the clay.

When cool, you can sand and buff the clay or you can apply a clear coat.  

The pendant can be put on a key chain split ring (key chain charm), on a chain or cord (necklace), on a ring for use on a range bag, purse, or jacket (zipper pull), etc. 

Other ideas:  Initials can be engraved in the clay above or below the bullet (or one initial on either side of the bullet), or Swarovski crystals could be incorporated into the clay for the girly girl.  The clay could also be textured with a pattern.

This one was made with liquid clay and mica powder...and a bullet head.  It's hard to capture in a photo, but the layers of mica powder and transparent clay give depth to this one!

Eyeglass Holders and Purse Key Hangers

These are pretty handy for those who take their glasses on and off frequently throughout the day.  They come in chrome, gun metal, and gold (not shown). They are magnetic (strong earth magnet) so they won't damage clothing and can go anywhere on your clothing you would like. 

They can be paired up with the purse key hanger in the same finish to make a nice gift set...

The centers have been embellished with textured clay. 

These items can be placed in the oven with the clay to cure or the clay can be formed, cured, and then attached to the metal with some jewelry glue.  Personally, I place the entire piece in the oven to cure the clay.  Then, once cured and cooled, I do my darndest to get the clay to come away from the metal (what you wouldn't want to happen during use!)  If I can't get it to come off...it's likely not coming off.  If it comes off with some aggressive prompting...I add some jewelry glue (made to work on metal) and put the clay medallion back in place.  It's now sure to stay put!  It is easier to add texture if you cure the clay while it's attached to the item.

Fragrance Atomizer

A GREAT ITEM!

 

Key Chain Perfume atomizer.  This 24K gold plated key chain was hand crafted with purple mica clay (a little shimmer) and a textured pattern.  The vial is removable so your favorite fragrance can be added with the plunger (included).  The vial is made of glass so it can be cleaned with alcohol if you want to change fragrances.  The cap screws onto the top of the atomizer and a rubber o-ring seal is included at both ends of the atomizer to guard against leakage.

The sturdy split ring can be removed from the cap and used as a purse or pocket accessory rather than a key ring.

STYLUS KEY CHAIN - LONG VERSION

With a plug to store the stylus in your phone jack.

 This kit normally comes with a much shorter shaft.  I swapped the shorter tube with a tube meant for a slimline pen so that it would be longer and easier to hold.  

The rubber tip mimicks your finger, but allows you to be more precise in what you are selecting on your smartphone (or tablet, etc.) as it is smaller than your finger.

This particular one features a mix of turquoise and pearl white clay and a chrome finish.  

Also available in 24K Gold plating.

Volcano Swarovski Crystals feature complimentary mutli-colored bling with the copper and black clay mix used.  Features a rope design border and 3-D textured "rope" that wraps around the barrel of the key chain for a very unique, one-of-a-kind design.  

Mini Stylus

This is a great little tool!  It can be attached to a key chain or directly to your touch screen device. It comes with a cord and a plug that fits into the audio jack of your phone, iPad, etc. so you always have it with you.  It has a soft tip that mimics your finger on the touch screen, but is smaller than your finger.  These come in 24K Gold or Chrome and are quite easy to make.  The coverable tube is a bit small, as you can see, which poses a little bit of a challenge, but isn't difficult.  Quick, easy and economical to make, they make a great gift for a co-worker -- not too personal, but very useful -- or anyone.
These were made by laying colors, creating a textured pattern, and slicing off the raised portions of the clay to create a 2 or 3 color pattern.  Then the clay is applied to a brass tube and cured. The ends are pressed onto the tube and voila!  You have a handy dandy mini stylus!

Key Chain Mini Twist Ball Point Ink Pen

These were fun to make...didn't take half a day...and I think everyone could use one of these!  Always have a pen on hand! (If you're like me...you're always digging in your purse trying to find one.)
Very little clay was used, although I did add the mother of pearl metallic finish to the recessed portions of the textured design on the red one.  It's also very hard to see in the photo, but the red clay has glitter inclusions...not too much...just enough for a little shimmer.

I think this would make a really nice not-too-personal gift for someone at work or an acquaintance or a really cute stocking stuffer! Don't you??
