This is a ceramic letter opener. The handle portion of the opener has been covered in turquoise and black clay...leaving a bit of the white ceramic showing through. A pearl white band features a crystal on both sides.
I used the mokume gane technique but used the shavings, so this piece is textured.
This is a great item to make many different-looking openers -- lends to many different ways of applying the clay.
