These are really pretty pens. They are the Apollo pens and the gold is Gold Titanium finish. The silver is chrome. They are substantial pens -- best for larger hands. They are both textured. The Gold pen is a fountain pen and the chrome is a Rollerball pen. I thought these turned out well -- which was a good thing since the pen kits aren't the lesser expensive ones available. I thought these would make really nice Christmas gifts for a business man / boss / supervisor or a really cool stocking stuffer.
The chrome pen was made from pearl white clay and then I hand painted on a metallic mother of pearl finish into the recessed part of the design. The gold pen was made from a mix of gold, white and copper clay then a copper metallic "paste" was rubbed onto the raised portions of the design.
It took the better part of a day to complete both of these pens to full fruition. But...I think they are nice.
